Broome: What to do & Where to stay
Guys.... If you've never been to Broome then you need to pack your bags right now and get yourself there asap! It's got to be one of my favourite places to run away to during the winter months in Perth. When it's cold and rainy here, Broome is at peak tourist season and never drops below 30 degrees.
Thanks to Cable Beach Club, Jarrad and I wear able to stay a few days in this beautiful town, right across from Cable Beach which I'd also probably rank as one of my favourite beaches in WA. We spent a lot of time just hanging out on the beach reading our books and watching the camels walk past.
One night we thought we'd try and get a nice view of the milky way from Gantheaume Point. I was up for the idea until we were there in the moment, trying to climb up the side of a cliff in pitch darkness with just our iPhone torch to light our path. I won’t deny that I’m a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to heights so I was internally panicking when Jarrad insisted we stand on the edge of a precariously balanced rock on the edge of the cliff to get the perfect photo. Luckily we got the shot and lived to tell the tale so all is fine but… damn it, Jarrad. He’s going to kill me one day.
Enjoy the photos below and if you get a chance, get yourself to Broome!
